The data remains until it is replaced, specifically reset, deleted by you or cleared by the browser. A subdirectory of the same domain is not a separate storage area. A new round does not automatically remove names or best scores. Unrecognised or damaged saved rounds are not silently replaced by a new state.
The game is served through GitHub Pages. When resources are requested, GitHub technically receives, in particular, the IP address and the address of the requested resource. GitHub explicitly describes storing visitor IP addresses for security purposes on Pages, even without signing in to GitHub: GitHub Pages.
GitHub is a recipient of technical request data; processing may also take place outside the EU. Details, transfer mechanisms and retention criteria are explained in GitHub’s privacy statement. No fixed log retention period or exclusively European processing is promised here.
In this version, models, images, audio and fonts are loaded from the same hosting origin. No embedded Google Fonts, analytics providers, advertising or cloud saves. Source links lead to the named external websites only when clicked; their terms apply there.
Local storage serves the game features and settings you use. The intended legal basis for storage required for the game you have expressly requested is Section 25(2), No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG); where personal data is involved, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Serving and securing the service serves the legitimate interest in an accessible and secure game (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Depending on the applicable conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Contact: hoofilou@outlook.de. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner. For data held exclusively locally, the provider has no remote access to your browser.
When you contact us, your email address, message and any attachments are processed to reply to you (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR for game-related enquiries; otherwise Article 6(1)(f): responding to your request). The mailbox uses Microsoft Outlook; this processing is separate from game hosting and local saved games and may involve international data processing (see the Microsoft privacy statement). Messages are kept only as long as necessary for the enquiry or legal obligations. The game itself does not send emails.
Use your browser’s website data management. Caution: “Delete all website data” may also affect other projects on the same domain. For targeted removal, only the Hoofilou keys listed above can be deleted in the developer tools under Storage / Local Storage. Do not clear the entire origin if other data needs to be kept. Removal is permanent; back up any values you need beforehand. “New round” is not a complete deletion of data.
